Puppy Manners (Level 1)

Our puppy classes are for puppies between 8 and 16 weeks at the start of the class. This is the ideal time to start your dog's education of on the right foot. Different from Puppy Pre-School, this is a training class that focuses on teaching puppies in the way they learn best. Behaviors taught in this class include:

Come when called
Sit on command
Lie down on command
Stay when told
Walk without pulling on leash
Greet people without jumping
And more

More than that, this classes teaches you how to teach your dog - not just in a "formal" training session, but whenever you're interacting with him. If your puppy is awake, your puppy is learning. We want to help you teach your dog what you want him to learn. We want to help you have the dog of your dreams.

Our Puppy Class program starts with an Introductory Workshop to introduce the fundamentals of the training program. This 2-hour workshop is the first class for all our Manners (obedience) classes for puppies, adolescents and adult dogs - both puppy and Level 1 classes.

In each of our Manners Class programs you'll receive a copy of The New Clicker Training Manual(s) by Gail Fisher, a clicker and training treats. All classes progress upward to help you achieve the level of manners and training that suits your needs. Check out our class schedule for details on upcoming classes, (but please contact us to check on potential scheduling changes).

We're confident our training program can meet your needs, but if you're not sure if we're what you're looking for, enroll in the class and come to the Introductory Workshop to decide. If at the end of the workshop, you feel our training is not for you, we'll give you a full refund of your enrollment fee, no questions asked.

If you want to get started right away, and there's no puppy class starting soon, please register for our Level 1 Manners class. The curriculum is virtually the same, and all our Instructors are ready to help you with the behaviors important to puppy owners.
